Cookies and browser storage, explained.

Essential access cookies

• bwc_report: private checklist access, for up to 30 days.
• bwc_audience: access to email preferences, for up to 90 days.
• bwc_session: secure administrator or partner login, for up to 12 hours.

Access cookies are HTTP-only and use secure transport on the public website. Private links are not an analytics identifier. Email confirmation requires a deliberate action rather than merely opening a link.

Progress and interface choices

Your browser can retain non-contact questionnaire choices for seven days so you can continue a check. Session identifiers connect the steps of the requested check. The bwc_privacy local-storage entry remembers your versioned analytics preference until you reset it or clear browser storage. A material expansion, such as adding Google Analytics, requires a new choice. The bwc_welcome_seen_v1 entry remembers that you have seen the getting-started guide so it does not keep interrupting you. You can reopen that guide from the homepage at any time.

These records support the tool or remember your choices. They do not store your name, email address or phone number in questionnaire progress. Clearing browser data may remove progress or private access, so print a checklist you want to retain.

Optional analytics

If analytics are enabled by the operator, Google Analytics and our own site statistics run only after you allow them. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_MVKND8B8WX cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions; we configure their lifetime to up to one year without extending expiry on each visit. Withdrawing analytics consent removes these cookies from this site and stops future optional measurement. Private checklist, confirmation and preference pages are excluded. Choosing “Essential only” keeps the check available. The choice does not prevent operational events needed to create and protect your requested result.

External resources

Fonts, map data and the map worker are served locally. External references open third-party websites. Google Analytics is the optional third-party analytics script and is loaded only after consent. We do not enable advertising tracking.
